The growing activities in Aeronautics and defense areas have made GTD Sistemas de Información one of the most important players of the Spanish market. Most of our customers are located in Madrid community, and almost one third of the GTD’s engineers are attached to GTD Madrid directorate. This directorate has been housed in Madrid-Getafe the last 5 years . Now, however, we have become too cramped to tackle the growing number of issues properly and the laboratories and protected areas are no longer big enough to respond to the challenges resulting from our development. More than 2.500 sqm have been constructed nearby our actual location, also in Getafe municipality and very close to the headquarter of one of our most important customer EADS-CASA . In this new building, GTD will develop defense , aeronautics and security activities, as well as for civil and military sectors. The building has been designed in order to make compatible “under the same roof” both kind of activities. The total invertion is about 4 M€, quantity very similar to the other main building that GTD has in Barcelona city. With this new building, GTD will afford easily its growing activities in Madrid area. The official inauguration is foreseen in summer 2009.
