GTD is part of the consortium of companies selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) for developing the systems that will guarantee the security of the facilities of the Ariane 6 launch pad (ELA4) in French Guiana. GTD’s participation amounts to around 5M€ and the work is scheduled to be completed by 2019. With this system, all surveillance and monitoring information for the Security of the ELA4 Launch Pad will be computerised by our Barcelona-based engineers. Also, the installation and maintenance of the system will be guaranteed by our teams in French Guiana. Once again, with this new contract, GTD consolidates its dominant position regarding the command and control systems of the ground facilities of the future European launcher Ariane 6. Ariane 6 definitely represents a major milestone in our history, both in its development phase (until 2000) and in its future operational phase (until 2040++). By Josep Fontova
