Along with over two million people we have been visiting roughly 30 Halls with sizes of a couple of football fields loaded with the latest technology and software applications. The CeBIT is probably the biggest exhibit in the world (5,845 exhibitors from 77 countries), therefore we had a very busy agenda, presenting themselves or not, everybody was there alright. Bussiness solutions exhibition program, spreading through halls 2 to 7, while not meeting our big expectations, don’t let us half-hearted. Displaying topics as Business Intelligence & Enterprise (BI), Business Process Management (BPM), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), IT Services, and all the other IT buzzwords, CRM, ERP, SCM, RFID, keeps us sailing on the IT waves, checking the new products and solutions proposed. Between the myriads of exhibitors, some of them attracted our attention. IBM was there, with a luxurious stand in black and green, organized by market solutions - same products looking very different depending on the final purpose- in each post, a kind and disposed consultant gave all the needed explanations, not very deep from a technical point of view, but enough for a draft. Same can be said for T-Systems (gray and pink) or SoftwareAG (white and blue) flagships of the IT deutsche companies. While collecting this mess of information, GTD has been analizing the different IT platforms and products, in the quest for the best standard and open solutions, platforms where our tools and applications can play the role of a real value-added solution. We’re expecting to fullfil our client requests with the integration and standarization strategy: “Intelligent and advanced tools on top of well known and robust third-party platforms & solutions”.
