Their managing director, Ignacio Álvarez-Ossorio, was in charge of presenting the symposium.More than 150 professionals and technicians from all of Spain presented the latest developments regarding the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in public domain and emergency management. The encounter allowed the ports of Huelva, Barcelona and Algeciras to share their experiences in the implementation of these instruments. GTD made a presentation on the Integrated Supervision Platform – our greatest contribution to the Safe & Green Port project. These Geographic Information Systems have become a genuine support tool in land and emergency management. They are becoming increasingly more incorporated in the management of a determined geographic area allowing their users to create interactive queries, analyse spatial information, edit data and maps, as well as present the results of these operations.
