GTD has been awarded with a new contract for the French space agency (CNES) for the renewal of the Radar Control System (EIR) of the Europe Space Port in French Guyana. The purpose of the EIR system is to interface the 3 radars of the European Space Port with the trajectory tracking system .This system has strong real time requirements and the highest criticism. The current system has become outdated and its operational maintenance cannot be ensured. The new system will firstly solve the current obsolescence problems and then drastically simplify the system maintenance by its modularity and new failure detection capabilities. Moreover, the new system will be based in standard HW and open source SW. Electronic devices development will be sub-contracted to MICROSYSTEMES (FR). The project duration is about 18 months and the project budget is 1 M€ This project shows the confidence of our customers on GTD capabilities for the long term projects.
