Past Friday 23rd of January, took place a special event organized by the City Council of Barcelona, in recognition of the companies and their young employees that have contributed to generating employment in the city. GTD attended the event because of its participation in the “ Barcelona Crea Ocupació” (Barcelona Creates Employment), driven by Barcelona Activa.The program “ Barcelona Crea Ocupació” is a support program for small and medium-sized enterprises with their work centers in Barcelona, which aims at encouraging the recruitment of permanent employment of the young people under thirty years old. GTD has been participating in this program by providing indefinite contracts to young people in their headquarters in Barcelona.The ceremony was presided over by Xavier Trias, the Mayor of Barcelona, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Economy, Business and Employment, Sonia Recasens. The happening which took place in the “Saló de Cent” of Barcelona City Hall, was attended by 40 young employees and more than 130 enterprises that have participated in the programmes “Joves per l´Ocupació”, “Barcelona Crea Ocupació” and “Fem Ocupació per Joves”.
