GTD has been recognised by Fusion for Energy (F4E) with the Excellence in Delivery Award for its contribution to the ITER project, highlighting the successful ahead-of-schedule delivery of a complex instrumentation and control system supporting ITER’s cryogenic infrastructure.

Fusion for Energy recognises GTD’s outstanding performance in delivering advanced instrumentation and control systems for ITER.
GTD has been awarded the Excellence in Delivery Award at the first edition of the Fusion for Energy (F4E) Supply Chain Excellence Awards, presented during the Big Science Business Forum (BSBF) 2026 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
Organised by F4E, the awards recognise European companies that have demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation and commitment in their contribution to fusion energy projects.
GTD received the Excellence in Delivery Award in recognition of its work on the instrumentation and control system for the distribution of cryogenic fluids to ITER’s cryopumps.
The system plays an important role in the operation of ITER’s cryogenic infrastructure, enabling real-time control and monitoring of thousands of variables across the distribution network.
F4E specifically highlighted GTD’s ability to deliver this complex system ahead of the contractual schedule and with a fully closed-out quality record, demonstrating the company's commitment to technical excellence, quality and reliable project execution.
This recognition reflects GTD’s expertise in the development and integration of advanced control systems for large-scale scientific infrastructures, as well as its longstanding commitment to supporting major international research projects.
The award also represents an important acknowledgement of the dedication and technical capabilities of the GTD teams involved in the project.
GTD is proud to contribute to ITER and to support F4E in advancing the technologies needed for the future of fusion energy.
