Mr. Pugin - CEO of APCO (Right) and Mr. Ramirez – CEO of GTD, are standing close to GST3 Machine APCO, a Swiss SME company has complete the GST3 ‘Technical Wagons’ to be supplied to Arianespace before end of 2014. This railway machine will substitute the GST2 now in operations from year 1990. GST3 has the function of supplying the ARIANE LAUNCH PAD TABLES with energy, compressed air, air conditioning and chilled water during the transfer phases. GTD has delivered to APCO all the instrumentation equipments, mobile command & control automates and connections to main launch control center system ‘CCS’ located in the ‘CENTRE DE LANCEMENT nº3’ in charge of campaign and launch operations of ARIANE 5. The transfer of the table with GST2 wagons on the backside railway When they are not in transfer, the TABLES are supplied by the ground segment BIL to BAF or Launching Zone (Massif). To perform its functions, the GST machine consists of 4 wagons: • The air conditioning wagon It produces and the ice water and the treatment of ventilation air distribution tables. • The power wagon It provides electric power generation equipment cat2 for the GST and 2 tables. • The air compressed wagon V11/V17 It provides compressed air production tables • The car COD (unwinding fiber optic cable) It allows the connection between the optical fiber 2 and the GST ground during transfer phases.
