The development of OML-NG (Outil de Missionisation Logiciel - Nouvelle Generation) is part of ESA's ARTA/MCO program for the upgrade of the ESA resources revolved in the production and launches of the Ariane 5 rocket. The elements subject to this upgrade are the “Input/Output Elements" (UES) of the “Functional Front-End Bus” (FBF). The FBF and, more precisely , the UES are the equipments acting as interface, by using the MIL-1553 bus, between Ground Command & Control Benches and the Launcher’s on-board-computer itself. Within this framework the OML-NG is responsible for setting up the UES memory based on the data traffic definition in the launchers MIL-1553 bus. The main data generated by OML-NG are binary files with the initial content of the UES memory. GTD has carried out the entire development process of the OML-NG tool, from the design phase through implementation to the functional validation of the tool.
