A consortium of Catalan companies led by GTD will develop advanced avionics project, which seeks to ensure the safety of aircraft. This project will be driven by the agency to support the competitiveness of the Catalan company ACC1Ó. Other companies involved in this project are Indra and Pildo Labs. The project aims to advance aviation safety by predicting with "reliability" of the different variables involved in the path of the aircraft and its wake turbulence, the consortium has been explained in a statement. The aviation industry, said the business consortium, is undergoing a process of "steady growth" since it is estimated that in twenty years the density of air traffic will triple. Therefore, and to ensure that this increase is made in a sustainable manner and without causing an increase in accidents, the consortium has identified a need to move towards new security measures.
