GTD, in the quality of French Guyana most representative industry has supported this mission and Mr. Jacquy Pierre Marie, director of GTD Guyana during the last 15 years has been strongly involved in this mission, not only in representation of GTD but also as member of the Chamber Of Commerce of this particular department of Freance Republic.French Guyana is the Brazilian’s closest territory of European Union, and for that reason it has been undertaken to be the best interface of EU to one the most relevant economy in the world, as Brazil is.Within the different core activities of GTD, one of the most interesting meetings witch has been maintained in those journeys was with the PETROBRAS’s top management. As you may know, GTD is supplying worldwide the very big utilities: “Gas Natural” and “Repsol” with security and control-command solutions. We do expect also through this very close relationship, to develop partnership with Petrobras, one of the most relevant energy utility in the world. Petrobras is a Brazilian company with presence in 27 countries. Its track record is one of overcoming the challenges that, in its 55-year history, have led it to make significant technological progress. One of them was achieving leadership in deepwater exploration and production. Petrobras employs nearly 75,000 people the world over. Brazil population is close to 190 millions and the expectation is that they will be close to 250 millions within the next 15 years. The Brazilian economy has been stabilized and the IPC is now “controlled” under 4%/year. That means it is the correct moment to make business in Brazil. Finally we have discovered a very “world class” education level in this country, particularly in Sao Paolo University, where some of the best ever young aerospace engineers are actually formed.Brazil is definitively a country for the next future and it is very opened for international collaborations as the one exposed in this mission….
