SEOSAT/INGENIO program is devoted to provide high resolution multi-spectral land optical images to various Spanish civil, institutional and governmental users; and potentially to other European users in the framework of GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) and GEOSS (Global Earth Observation System of Systems). SEOSAT is a Spanish project to produce a satellite capable of providing wide-field imagery (230 60km x 60km frames a day) at 2.5m panchromatic resolution and 10m colour resolution, from the classic 'spy satellite' sun-synchronous polar orbit; it is Spain's first optical imaging satellite. The prime contractor is Astrium and some parts of the satellite are being built by Thales. GTD develops for Astrium (prime contractor), the Seosat Central Software (CSW) which is the software running on the Seosat On-Board Computer. This software is responsible for commanding and controlling the overall spacecraft, both platform and payload. This includes (but it is not limited to): - Basic SW and the OBC boot; - Data Management; - Ground / Board interface through Telecommand and Telemetry; - Thermal control and Power control of the platform; - Attitude and Orbit control (using thrusters and wheel-masses); - Payload control; - System control, including the satellite mode; and - Overall FDIR (Failure Detection Isolation and Recovery).
