Spanish Version of Tiger Helicopter (HAD) From year 2006 GTD is strongly involved in the development of the version HAD of the military helicopter "Tiger". The "Tiger" is the most recent military helicopter and one of the best of the world in its gender.Up to now, many helicopters have been contracted for different countries: France (80 units), Germany, (80), Australia (22) and Spain (24). Already 30 "Tiger" are in operational service. The version HAD was entrusted by France (40 units) and Spain (18 ). With regard to the version HAP (Helicopter of Support and Protection) already delivered to France and Spain, which is armed with a cannon with maximum precision, missiles air - air MBDA's " Mistral " and rocket launcher, the HAD relies on a more powerful engine, possibilities to be armed with missiles air - land "Spike” and "Hellfire”, improved systems of communication, IFF, ballistic improved armored protection as well as a new system EWS. Last 17th December 2007, in Marignane (France), has taken place the inaugural flight of the version HAD of the "Tiger" (HAD number of series 5001), in the exact date programmed in its contract of development, which was signed two years ago between Eurocopter and the multinational organization of defense acquisitions OCCAR. The authorization for the flight was given on December 11 by the military French flight authority, and the DGA (Direction Générale de l'Armement) belonging to the French Ministery of Defense.GTD participation to HAD Tiger has been centered in the area of design, development and integration in the different mission computers of the following equipments: • Electronic Warfare System (EWS). • Radios (PR4G’s). • Identification Friend Foe (IFF). • Missiles air-ground (Spike). The responsible of GTD Team are Sara Martin and Miguel Burgaleta, and they are attached to the GTD Madrid engineering office
