GTD Participation in the Vega-C Maiden Flight

Europe’s new Vega C medium-lift rocket lifted off successfully on its maiden flight July 13 2022, carrying an Italian physics satellite and six cubesats. As usual in any European rocket launch since 1990, GTD is proud to be part of this success by participating in ground systems and operations. But this flight also meant for GTD the first flight of our ECSS Cat-B qualified mathematical library. The library we have been working on since 2016, will not only provide the mathematical functions for the VEGA-C on-board computer but also for one of the most interesting spacecrafts that VEGA-C will bring to space, the SpaceRider re-entry vehicle.
