The full flight simulator will be used in the Airbus Military’s International Training Centre in Seville. Within the program for developing the Full Flight Simulator (FFS) of the A400M, EADS-CASA has awarded GTD the development of the Military Software Package (MiISwP) related to ATA23 and ATA43 models, as well as, some ATA90 modules re-hosting. The contract is worth 5 M€, and it covers the entire development cycle of the related modules, will involve a large team of high experience engineers in simulation and software development for avionics up to year 2012. Rafael Rodriguez, Director of Defense and Aeronautics BU, said “This is the consolidation of GTD as one of the preferred tier-1 for EADS-CASA”. “We expect to receive further requests for full flight simulators covering the needs of the lead Nations participating in the project (France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Turkey, Belgium and Luxembourg)”. “By co-operating in this way, GTD consolidates its position as a leading company in Aeronautics systems engineering and increases its participation in one of the largest collaborative projects of the European aeronautical industry”.
