From 28th to 29th April, the STREAM system has undergone a major review by the European Commission, including a number of live demonstrations. EC experts panel attending this major review have expressed their satisfaction for the quality and relevance of the services deployed by the STREAM platform. STREAM is a tool for humanitarian crisis management. A humanitarian crisis is a scenario which represents a critical threat to the health, safety, security, … of a community over a wide area. Armed conflicts, epidemics, famine, natural disasters and other major emergencies may all involve or lead to a humanitarian crisis. In addition to deploying a full catalogue of IT resources (related to communications, field logistics, traceability, …), STREAM does also deliver Artificial Intelligence services, specifically designed to deal with the challenges of the crisis management. GTD’s contribution in STREAM focus in all these Artificial Intelligence contributions. Based on our well known Knowledge Enabled Services platform (KESgtd), GTD delivers: Crisis-Knowledge Management and their transformation into activity work-flows. Decision Support and Automatic Decision, based on spatio-temporal reasoning, which multiplies the effectiveness of the crisis management by automatically transforming “strategic decisions” into field specific, effective actions.
