The ATLAS National Award sponsored by DHL gives suitable recognition to companies which contribute significantly to the effort of increasing Spanish exports. The Gala was celebrated last Thursday 23th October in Madrid Neptune Palace. GTD won the award in the category of best innovative exporting company and this was collected by Carlos Kinder (CEO) and Angel Ramirez (President) of GTD.The event was inaugurated by Miguel Borras, CEO of DHL Express, who said: “This edition of the Atlas Awards is a culmination of all the efforts that DHL have been making for some time to give professional support to companies of our country with the aim of exceeding their challenges to successfully export. We firmly believe that in this way the Spanish trademark and Spanish products will extend their presence in a very positive way internationally”. Mr. Borras also welcomed the Chief of ICEX (Instituto de Comercio Exterior, answering to the Secretary of Commerce), Francisco Javier Garzón, who in his speech highlighted the importance of correct planning and the human factor in order to succeed in exportation. Meanwhile, Miguel Otero, CEO of the organism ‘Brands of Spain‘ and a member of the jury said: “Nowadays, wherever you go, you will find Spanish companies and Spanish products, everywhere, worldwide”. The jury for these awards has been composed by renowned professionals of university, business and institutions.
