Norwegian government authorizes NOK 365 million investment million in funding to build the Andøya Spaceport. The base will be fully operational from 2025. The Andøya Space Center, which is 90 percent owned by the state and 10 percent by Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace. Andøya can benefit from its geographical location, infrastructure and expertise, but will face competition from similar projects in the UK, Portugal and Sweden.
