Ibersystems de Defensa is a company founded jointly by GTD and Nexter Systems, based in Barcelona to develop the Spanish versions of the Nexter Systems; range of armored vehicles. Actually, Ibersystems is developing the Wheeled Armored 8x8 Vehicle (VBR 8x8), in response to the requirement of the Spanish Ministry of Defense, in order to provide the most adequate solution to the Armed Force´s needs for mobility and protection. This vehicle is based on the VBCI version (operational in the French Army) but is adapted to the needs of the Spanish Armed Forces in the current field of operations. Ibersystem will be present at Eurosatory 2010, the biggest international exhibition for land and airland defence and homeland security, in the Spanish Pavilion. It will take place from 14 to 18 June 2010 near Paris (Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, between Paris and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport).
