GTD has recently peformed and delivered a demonstrator of IMA architecture for Space Application. Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) concept has been deployed in the civil aviation industry, and the aim of this project was to demonstrate that this architecture is also beneficial to satellite avionics. This has been achieved by defining, implementing and validating a System Executive that provides Time and Space Separation services to representative avionics application software. The most relevant issues of this project were: • The study phase involving a system assessment for the System Executive. • Building and integrating the software components. • Implementing two different use cases by porting existing avionics software on the system executive.
