Navantia Systems, together with GTD have exposed during Paris salon Eurosatory their ‘System Exploration and Land Survey’ (SERT) in Advanced Observer configuration (OAV) mounted in a VAMTAC vehicle loaned from Spanish Army. The disclosed system is "identical to the one just delivered to the Army on Pizarro OAV" and that is already in service in the Artillery Group X.Both companies are now working together "to offer different types of missions such as exploration of cavalry or border surveillance."Many International Delegations (principally Middle East) were interested in further demos and discussions.GTD supports Navantia in the SERT with the integration of electronic pedestal. In addition, GTD shows in Paris salon innovative solutions in optical sensing, optical communications and equipment for Special Forces. In point of detection, the company shows the Beam 200, an optical surveillance and detection that can be integrated in the vehicle and allows the operator to automatically scan an area of interest and locating precision optics, as snipers or video cameras and photography. In this sense, says Rafael Rodriguez, director at GTD, the system is not only suitable for the protection of troops, but also for Homeland Security or intelligence gathering. The Booth was visited by Spanish Defense Secretary Mr. Pedro Arguelles (in the picture).
