GTD has been awarded by Astrium (A5 Prime Contractor) with a contract for upgrading a ISF subsystem. Located at Les Mureaux, ISF (Installation de Simulation Fonctionnelle / Functional Simulation Facility) is where ASTRIUM is setting up and qualifying Ariane 5 electrical and software system for each launch campaign. Executed in a real time context, the simulations are recreating several events that could be encountered during the mission, including failures that are virtually generated. The ISF needs to be upgraded for the new Ariane 5 Mid Life Evolution requirements. For this project, GTD is going to upgrade a core ISF subsystem: the SACQM-E (Système d’ACQuisition de Mesures – Evolution / Evolution of Measurement ACQuisition System). The SACQM-E is the ISF subsystem dedicated to all MPs (Maquette de Pilotage / Control Mock-up) measurements acquisition. The role of this subsystem is to acquire process, monitor, visualize, store, save, and make available all of these measurements. So the SACQM-E takes part in the validation and qualification of the electrical and software system, and is mainly used to validate the servo-control chains. The SACQM-E takes also part in the embedded software qualification by providing measurements to the Real-Time Simulation. Due to the wide spectrum of activities in which the SACQM-E is involved (embedded software, validation, qualification, …), it is important for GTD to anticipate the future needs of its client. One of these future assets is the VINCI engine by SNECMA, one of the synergies between Ariane 5 ME and Ariane 6.
