Five months after the failure of its last launch, Vega has successfully placed six satellites in orbit on Wednesday the 29th of April. A breath of fresh air for Arianespace, which hopes to see the end of the black series that has hit the Italian rocket since 2019. Let us remember the previous Vega last November which had been lost eight minutes after its takeoff, with the two satellites it carried. The investigation conducted after the incident concluded to a human error during the assembly: a misplaced wiring with "a reversal of directional controls", which has deviated the trajectory of the rocket at the time of ignition of its upper stage. A failure which had not been detected during the pre-flight controls.
