More than 15 million euros and qualified employment to activate the first 20 R&D&I projects that will lay the foundations for the new innovation complex. The topics will revolve around Industry 4.0, renewable energy, materials, the Internet of Things, and multimodal logistics and should be developed before 2021. The Innovation Center, a joint project between the University of Seville and the Port of Seville, already has the first R&D&I challenges it will implement in collaboration with companies and other entities within the framework of a doctoral program. These programs will include the necessary facilities for their implementation, which will be built on the Port of Seville land concessioned for this purpose in the Shipyards Industrial Park; as well as the participation of researchers and students completing their doctoral theses under the industrial doctorate program. Portel Logistics was selected for three projects and three industrial doctorates in intermodal port logistics.
