SIL BARCELONA, the Leading Exhibition for Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain Fair in Southern Europe, in its 23rd edition, has awarded PORTEL’s software (VELLORE CCS) as the most innovative. A collaborative platform known as VELLORE CCS was created by Portel (GTD Group) and pushed by AENA (National Organization of Spanish Airports) to facilitate information sharing between members of the cargo community at airports in the Aena Network. Handling operators, freight forwarders, transportation firms, carriers, drivers, Customs, and Aena itself are a few of its consumers. With the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of airport communities, it is a neutral and open electronic platform that permits the intelligent and secure interchange of information between public and private players. This platform lays the groundwork for a single window for the aviation industry, and it is constantly expanding with new functionalities, including service requests between actors (positioning, palletizing, labeling, etc.), the digitization of future customs procedures (ICS2, G3, G4, etc.), business intelligence, and the verification of professional driver accreditations for the contracted service.
