At the seventh session of the ALACAT congress, which took place in the framework of the SIL, the emphasis was put on the aeronautical information exchange systems, which emerged as a key element in the optimization of the air shipment processes in a time when the air cargo transportation is faring well, with the forecast of a continuous sustained growth at a rate of 5-6%, which will double the transported volume within a few years.At the congress, many of the concepts related to e-freight and the technological improvements that are present in air transportation were discussed, at an important moment in the evolution of air cargo, given that technology has become omnipresent in all the processes, raising the expectations of the customers.This is why GTD has been developing a comprehensive project at the service of the whole airport community.Air Freight Solution is a comprehensive technological solution which optimizes the air cargo transportation, incorporating all the actors who intervene in an air transport operation and digitalising the necessary documents in air transport operations concerning B2B (Business to Business) and B2G (Business to Government).Based on the base document, which is the air waybill (e-AWB), services with high added value have been incorporated (e-truck, e-customs, e-security and e-compliance/dangerous goods).The generated and digitalized information provides advantages such as agility, simplicity, traceability (operational and documentary), accessibility in procedures with public services, process safety, as well as the possibility to anticipate potential incidences, avoid mistakes and optimize processes.
