GTD GmbH made a significantly positive impression in the regional press in Germany. After few months of operations, GTD GmbH (GTD’s German subsidiary) appeared in the regional press, taking profit from a visit of GTD’s president Angel Ramirez. The event turned out to be an unexpected milestone to the young company, having until then difficulties to find candidates. After this event the company received job applications, aroused the interest of politicians and got contacted by potential future customers. Recently there is a new software company in Markdorf. The Spanish GTD Sistemas de Información with more than 200 employees has established here a subsidiary. Currently they are looking for computer engineers. During the ILA Air Berlin Show 2012 took place the first contact between GTD`s president Angel Ramirez and the Bodensee Business Promotion Agency (WFB). WFB was represented at ILA in a common stand with Bodensee Aerospace Cluster and 8 companies. Ramirez visited the stand and expressed interest in setting up a subsidiary in Germany. Some months after that GTD GmbH was registered and currently has started its activities in Markdorf. “I absolutely wanted to establish the company in the Bodensee Area. I could have opened it somewhere else in Germany, especially since we have already customers in the north of Germany, but I love this region and therefore we are here.” – affirmed Ramirez. This decision pleased Bernhard Grieb, WFB Manager of the Überlingen branch. “GTD GmbH fits exactly into the core competences of the Bodensee area. GTD will add value and profit in fields such as IT and aerospace here in the region” – expressed Mr. Grieb. GTD GmbH is a company owned 100% by the Spanish GTD Sistemas de Información. It develops and tests Software for Aerospace, scientific infrastructures and renewable energy applications. Carlos Arias and Andoni Arregui are both employees coming from Barcelona, although they are completely integrated into the German culture and language. Nevertheless next employees will come also from Germany.
