The past 2, 3, 4 and 5th of April, the 7th International Symposium on Launcher Technologies was celebrated with full success in Barcelona. This Symposium was jointly organized by CNES (the French Space Agency), DLR (The German Aerospace Centre), and gtd. The very beautiful World Trade Centre located in the Port of Barcelona was the place where close to 200 Engineers and Scientists of the world have been working in defining the long term space transportation perspective, opening a window on the next step as current launch systems reach maturity. Associated missions and technologies were deeply treated, as for instance launchers for space tourism, providing the audience a large picture of the state of the art related to propulsion, materials, models and future missions. Besides sponsoring the symposium gtd participated with the conference “FUTURE TRENDS IN SPACECRAFT ON BOARD COMPUTING”. This presentation was given by gtd’s Senior Engineers Manrico Fedi and Daniel Portero.
