GTD has signed a collaboration agreement with GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas, one of Europe's leading defense manufacturers, reinforcing the company's growing role in the Catalan defense and dual-use technology ecosystem.

The agreement was announced by GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas during a recent industrial event organized alongside AeroS Ecosystem, a Catalan cluster bringing together over 80 companies from the aerospace and defense sectors. At the event, GDELS highlighted its commitment to building a stronger, more competitive local supply chain — and named GTD as one of its strategic partners in that effort.
GTD brings to this collaboration over 30 years of experience in defense software and systems integration, with a track record that spans surveillance systems, C4ISR solutions, avionics, and combat management software for land, naval, and air platforms. From embedded software for the Eurofighter and the A400M, to naval combat management systems developed alongside Navantia (including the F-110 frigate program) GTD has established itself as a reliable software partner for some of the most demanding programs in the European defense industry. Its dual-use capabilities, which bridge defense-grade engineering with civil and scientific applications, make it a particularly well-suited partner for the kind of integrated industrial model GDELS Santa Bárbara is pursuing in Catalonia.
The agreement positions both companies within a broader effort to consolidate Catalonia as a strategic hub for defense and dual-use technology in Europe, an ambition that aligns with the current push for greater European industrial sovereignty and the sharp increase in defense investment across the continent.
