GTD hosted Maria Galindo Garcia-Delgado, Secretary for Digital Policies of the Government of Catalonia, and Verònica Tercero, Coordinator of Catalonia’s Space Policy, to exchange views on the development of the Catalan space strategy and the region’s role within the European space ecosystem.

GTD recently welcomed Maria Galindo Garcia-Delgado, Secretary for Digital Policies of the Government of Catalonia, and Verònica Tercero, Coordinator of Catalonia’s Space Policy, to its headquarters for a working meeting focused on the evolution of the Catalan space strategy.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on the current state and future direction of the space sector in Catalonia, as well as its positioning within the broader European ecosystem. Discussions addressed key challenges and opportunities linked to building a competitive, innovative and internationally connected space industry.
With more than three decades of experience in the space sector, GTD contributes to major European programmes through the development of mission-critical software and systems. The company’s capabilities span launchers, ground segment infrastructures, satellite operations and Earth observation applications, supporting the full lifecycle of complex space missions.
In this context, collaboration between public institutions and industry is a key driver to accelerate technological development, foster talent and reinforce Europe’s strategic autonomy in space.
Catalonia is increasingly positioning itself as a relevant hub within the European NewSpace landscape, supported by a growing ecosystem of companies, research centres and institutional initiatives. The Catalan space strategy represents an important step in consolidating this trajectory and enabling sustainable long-term growth.
