GTD has selected MÄK’s VR-Forces and TrianGraphics’ Trian3D Builder, through Antycip Simulation Ltd, to enhance the development of its mission planning and tactical simulation applications.

Antycip Simulation Ltd, a subsidiary of ST Electronics (Training & Simulation Systems) Pte Ltd, and VT MÄK announced that GTD, a Barcelona-based defense integrator, will integrate these advanced modelling and simulation tools into its research and development programs.
GTD will use VR-Forces for the development of military and civil tactical simulation applications, including:
System communications will be based on the High Level Architecture (HLA) standard, ensuring interoperability and scalability.
VR-Forces is widely recognized as a powerful battlefield scenario generation toolkit and is used in:
Its customer base includes major defense organizations such as BAE Systems, the Thales Watchkeeper UAV program and RUAG.
GTD will also implement Trian3D Builder to generate high-fidelity terrain databases for its simulations.
The system enables rapid creation of large-scale 3D terrain environments based on:
Terrain data will be provided by the Catalan Institute of Cartography (ICC), covering the entire Catalonia region. This capability significantly reduces development time while ensuring high accuracy and correlation with operational command and control systems.
According to Thierry Coiffard, Project Manager at GTD, the selection of Antycip Simulation and its ecosystem reflects the company’s commitment to efficiency and technological excellence.
By leveraging VR-Forces and Trian3D Builder, GTD aims to:
Antycip Simulation and VT MÄK highlighted the value of integrated modelling and simulation ecosystems, particularly in enabling direct use of GIS data within real-time simulation environments.
The integration of VR-Forces and Trian3D Builder reinforces GTD’s position in advanced mission planning and tactical simulation systems.
By combining high-performance terrain modelling, scenario generation and interoperable simulation architectures, GTD enhances its ability to deliver next-generation training and operational planning tools for both military and civil applications.
