GTD has signed with European Spallation Source (ESS) the Framework Agreement concerning technical consultants and services for “Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control”. Following a highly demanding tender procedure, GTD has been selected by ESS for this multiple Framework, and prequalified for further competitions for Instrumentation and Control consultancy and services. The agreement is for an initial period of two years, with a possibility of being extended by ESS to a maximum 5 years. About the European Spallation Source - The European Spallation Source (ESS) is one of the largest science and technology infrastructure projects being built today. The facility is a multi-disciplinary research centre based on the world’s most powerful neutron source. The facility will be around 30 times brighter than today's leading facilities, enabling new opportunities for researchers in the fields of life sciences, energy, environmental technology, cultural heritage and fundamental physics.ESS, founded in 2015, is a joint European project, currently under construction in Lund, Sweden, whereas its Data Management and Software Centre (DMSC) is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Founding Members of the European Spallation Source are the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland. The ESS facility will be a world-leading center for materials research and life sciences using neutrons and will host the world´s most powerful neutron source.
