PELICAN, a common Joint venture created in December 2015 between GTD International (the French subsidiary of GTD’s Group) and 4G Technology (www.4g-technology.eu) has the objective to deliver mission-critical integrated security solutions for government facilities, military bases, commercial and industrial facilities.Capable of being deployed in a redundant and highly encrypted communications network, PELICAN solutions route data from field sensors and access control locations to the command and control center.The PELICAN Innovative Solutions combine disparate perimeter intrusion, CCTV, and access control technologies into a single robust system, including “intelligent video (IVS)” offerings that can distinguish “normal activity” from that which poses a security risk. The IVS engine can locally track, classify and analyze the behavior of individual or group of objects over long distance to greatly improve parameter security and monitoring efficiency.The sensors are mounted in a standard structure (MAS) which is energy autonomous and standalone. The networking are wireless increasing the flexibility to install de-install (mobility) and decreasing the installation cost.Aspects like RF signature and interference have been taken into account from the original design phase. The system actually is RF compatible with all of the most demanding sites in this matter (ammunition warehouses, hydrocarbons facilities or nuclear plants…).Even if the actual main customer is French Ministry of Defense, PELICAN’s team is planning to develop its business for others sectors and countries as well.
