GTD has signed with the German company, M+W Group, the Framework Agreement for Supervision and Control of various buildings at the ITER site in Cadarache, France. The scope of works awarded to GTD includes the design, development, supply and commissioning of the instrumentation and control system for the monitoring and control of various systems spread over different buildings in the TB04 area of ITER. With the signature of this new contract GTD strengthens its presence in the ITER project, where since 2013 has been working on different instrumentation and control projects within the framework agreement signed with ITER European Agency, Fusion 4 Energy. ITER is one of the most ambitious energy projects in the world today. In Cadarache, southern France, 35 nations are collaborating to build the world's largest tokamak, a magnetic fusion device that has been designed to prove the feasibility of fusion as a large-scale and carbon-free source of energy based on the same principle that powers our Sun and stars. ITER is the third most expensive project in history after the International Space Station and the Manhattan Project. More information
